The continuous cooling system is configured with either a surface scraper heat exchanger or a tubular heat exchanger, depending on the product type and process requirements.

Surface Scraping Heat Exchanger

Rotating scrapers continuously renew the product layer at the cooled surface. Use this design when your product would otherwise build up, set, or cool unevenly against a static wall — viscous masses and products where a stagnant boundary layer would compromise heat transfer or quality.

Tube Model Heat Exchanger

The product flows through cooled tubes with no mechanical contact. Use this design when your product flows cleanly and consistent flow-through cooling is the requirement — simpler, with no moving parts in the product zone.

Both models integrate with Alpy refining, tempering, and processing lines, or drop into existing third-party installations.

What is the difference between the surface scraping and tube models?
The surface scraping model uses rotating scrapers to continuously renew the product layer at the cooled surface, suited to viscous masses that would otherwise build up or cool unevenly. The tube model flows product through cooled tubes with no mechanical contact, suited to products that flow cleanly.
What throughput capacities are available?
Three models — AEX-500, AEX-1000 and AEX-1500 — rated at 500, 1000 and 1500 kg/h, all in food-grade stainless steel.
Can it be fitted to non-Alpy lines?
Yes. All three models integrate with Alpy refining, tempering and processing lines, or drop into existing third-party installations.
