The Block Chocolate Moulding Line shares the same proven modular architecture as the MODUFLEX™ Moulding Line. Its standard configuration features a dedicated Block Chocolate Depositor specifically designed for the high-precision depositing of block chocolate.

Block Chocolate Depositor

The ALPY Block Chocolate Depositor is a fully servo-controlled depositing system specifically engineered for the production of high-grammage block chocolate products. It enables precise chocolate depositing into polycarbonate moulds with accurately adjustable product weight, ensuring excellent weight consistency and product quality.

Chocolate is deposited by Ø80 mm sealed stainless steel pistons, which draw the product directly from the depositing vessel and accurately fill the mould cavities. A rack-and-pinion servo drive system transfers motion directly from the servo motor to the pistons with virtually no mechanical losses, delivering exceptional dosing accuracy, repeatability, and stable depositing performance.

Standard process stations

The Block Moulding Line, configured with its standard process stations, includes the following units:

  • Mould Heating Tunnel
  • Block Chocolate Depositor with Vibration
  • Elevator-Type Cooling Tunnel (480 mould capacity)
  • Automatic Demoulding Unit
  • Empty Mould Inspection Station

Built on the same modular platform as the MODUFLEX™ Moulding Line, the line can be extended with optional process stations as production requirements grow.

The line runs 3 to 4 moulds per minute — around 900 kg/h when moulding 5 kg blocks — on standard mould sizes of 470×200, 600×205 and 800×245 mm. Block chocolate needs 120 to 160 minutes to cool, so the elevator-type cooling tunnel holds 480 moulds to keep the line moving at full pace.
